I've been dating a girl for nearly 2 months. We love each other. I've been unable to have an orgasm through intercourse, oral sex, or manually since starting 20mg Prozac 8 months ago. l can go for an hour w/o having an orgasm and we both get too tired for me to finish. l can still orgasm on my own but it is difficult. How do l reassure her the sex is still great? She feels like she is doing something wrong and wants to please me. She loves the sex b/c l last so long but wants me to be happy too. But, l am happy. What kinds of things could l say during and after sex to reassure her? I've tried but she still feels insecure about it.

Do you have any tips for making it quicker? l have to use a condom. l tried the ultra thin, which works better but not a huge difference. My medicine helps me w/ depression/anxiety. l do not wanna quit taking them.

have her do stuff to you before you start sex, like oral and a handjob. it will get you closer to an orgasm when you finally do start having actual sex. also i've heard that putting some lube into the condom can help with sensation.

Try drinking more water and eating more foods with citruline (such as watermelon). It seems to help some men to produce more semen.

This is one of the side effects of taking those type of meds. The only way to fix it is to stop taking the pills. As far as l know anyways, u can try talking to a doctor or reading any info on Prozac is website

Reliable estimates of the incidence & severity of untoward experiences involving sexual desire, performance, & satisfaction r difficult to obtain, however, in part because patients & physicians may be reluctant to discuss them. Accordingly, estimates of the incidence of untoward sexual experience & performance, cited in product labeling, r likely to underestimate their actual incidence. In patients enrolled in US major depressive disorder, OCD, & bulimia placebo-controlled clinical trials, decreased libido was the only sexual side effect reported by at least 2% of patients taking fluoxetine (4% fluoxetine, < 1% placebo). Prozac can do this to ya. You need to tell the doc it is interfering with your mojo. He should adjust or change and things should go well. l hear Wellbutrin has no sexual side effects. Anyhow, to answer ur question:

1) Do u have an orgasm? l have multiple orgasms when having sex, just no ejaculation! ( l have to do it later). If so, let her know that you're having it. Work it the way u normally would, including the collapsing on her & falling asleep (assuming that she is satisfied by this time).

2) Assure her that it is not her - that u have the same problem with ur other girlfriend is too, even the really really hot ones. Seriously, she will be insecure that u r less attracted to her & therefore unable to orgasm. Let her know it is a physical problem, & be prepared to explain it (ugh. l hate having to explain mine). Remind her that if u were not sexually attracted to her, u would not be able to carry on for that long.

3) Tell her that u have to work through it, & the more sex u have with her the more u will get over it & eventually have a great orgasm together. Well, that works for me & my problem ( l think) - or WOULD work for me if she'd go for it. Unfortunately, l think she figures l am making that part up. Would this work? Maybe. Practicinghaving an orgasm during ''normal'' sex (and not masturbating) might eventually work. l think it is worth a try.

While u do have a problem it seems that ur priorities r not in the right place. You should not be worried about questions concerning what u should be telling ur girlfriend (i.e. What kind of things should l say before or after sex to reassure her?) These questions wo not have to be asked once u solve the bigger problem here. The bigger problem is that u r having a problem ejaculating because of certain medication. l highly recommend seeking professional advice from a physician or a specialist like a Urologist. Also it would be wise to tell the person who prescribed u the Prozac about ur current condition.
